Comfort Zone Workshop Series_Boston
The Comfort Zone Workshop explored the theme of "the body in transit" over three days, examining its political and cultural implications.
The interdisciplinary backgrounds of the participants, spanning architecture, dramaturgy, molecular biology, and engineering, enriched the design discussions by introducing diverse perspectives. The spatial, political, and cultural impacts of transportation systems were analyzed, especially through the lens of Mimi Sheller’s Mobility Justice and Leslie Kern’s Feminist City.
The workshop guided students through diverse representation techniques, encouraging team-based design proposals that reimagine Boston’s transit experience.
