Broken English Poetry Club
Inspired by Theodor Adorno's Minima Moralia, Broken English Poetry Club explores the intersections of language, identity, and class through the lens of poetic expression. This project challenges the conventional norms of grammar as markers of social class, instead embracing the fluidity and authenticity of "broken English" as a powerful medium of self-expression.
The project invited immigrants and non-native speakers to share their poetry, navigating the delicate balance between deconstructed language and “broken” English.

Through an open, public online platform, Broken English Poetry Club fostered a sense of community and belonging, providing a safe space where people could express their experiences, identities, and emotions without fear of judgment.
By celebrating these voices, the project highlights the beauty of imperfection while creating an archive of collective stories that transcend borders and linguistic hierarchies.
